influenza has just now obtained a

Horry County. Now that
there is nothing else of more interest,
local politics will come to the
front. Horry will show her interest
from the very beginning.

REFERENCE CASE HEARD.
Clerk of Court, W. L. Bryan, acting
as Special Referee under Order
of the Court, held another hearing
in the case of Kathcrine Kirton vs.
Albert C. Floyd, et al., beginning at
eieven o'clock last Thursday morning.
The Court went on with the
taking of testimony which had been
interrupted last September when the
hearing was commenced.
At the hearing last Thursday Col.
C. P. Quattlebaum appeared representing
Solicitor L. M. Gasque, who J
had been retained to represent Mrs.
Etta V. Altman, one of the defendants.
Mr. Gasque cou.ct not attend
I last Thursday and the reference was
| again continued until Thursday,
April lGth, when it will be conclu led.
