White and wife, Mollle S., who after the death of her first husband j became the wife of S. P. Hughes, of Loris, S. C. Bertha is well known both in Columbus County, N. C., and Horry County, S. C. She was born in Charleston County, S. C., in the year 1880 and was married to J. J. Hughes, of Horry County, S. C., on J,un. 12th, 1898 and died Dec. 4, 1918. In Quitman, Ga., where she and her husband have resided for the past five or six years. She leaves behind a devoted husband and four daughters. g .
