OLDER BUT' STRONGER To be healthy at seventy, prepare at forty, is sound advice, because in the strength of middle life we t<x> often forget tnat neglected colds, or careless treatment of slight aches and pains, simply undermine strength and bring chronic weakness for later years. I Among the many amusements of I the week was one of the biggest I danci of the season eve, held at Myrtle Beach. Th s was planned by I Uncle John and Aunt Tan. Music I for the occasion was furnished by I the Grafonola. The folding doors wc re opened throughout the first I floor and in the brilliancy of the I "electric" lights the couples were in I perfect harmony with the music. It I was a crab dance. Next morning at | sunrise the entire party seemed to j be enjoying" the surf when some I asked Pinkie how sin1* w.\s getting I on, Pinkie in distressing" tone, ve- I plied: "I'm getting wet." Fritz, be- I ing so tall and slender always took Shorty and stood behind her for pro- I H 11 teetion from the breakers. During > the day our favorite amusement was I I laying rook and bog trying to wake I those who were enjoying the sweet I peace of slumber. One of the young I men of Conway was very badly I frightened when he was invited very I cordially to make love to all nine I girls, frightened so badly that he fell I off the porch. However, we thought I we would try him so we escorted hi n I down to the "Courting Pavillion" and I did all we could but alas, in vain! 1 Therefore he was shipped on the I first car (or Ford) returning to the I city. The burn covered I a large area including the face and a I large triangle on the shoulders. It 1 happened through pure neglect o > I the part of the party since they were I out crabbing when the fearful acri- I dent occurred. It was caused by the I sun.
