8. WASH CANNON
LOSES A DAUGHTER
Mr. G. Wash Cannon and family
left here some months ago for Harts
ville, S. C., where he engaged :n
v ork with one of the cotton mills at
that point.
Last week news came to Horry to
the friends of this Horry family,
that his daughter, Miss Zilphia Cannon,
about seventeen years old, was
dead from typhoid fever, and that
her sister, was also very sick and
expected to die.
Last Wednesday the cousins of the
dead girl were making arrange
irents to leave here for Hartsville by
automobile so that they could reach
the place in time for the funeral.
OLDER BUT' STRONGER
To be healthy at seventy, prepare at
forty, is sound advice, because in the
strength of middle life we t<x> often forget
tnat neglected colds, or careless treatment
of slight aches and pains, simply
undermine strength and bring chronic
weakness for later years.
To be stronger when older, keep your
blcxxl pure and rich and active with t'le
strength-building and blood-nourishing
properties of Scott's Ktnulsion which, l a
food, a tonic ami a medicine to keep your
blood rich, alleviate rheumatism and
avoid sickness. No alcohol in Scott's.

Among the many amusements of I
the week was one of the biggest I

Uncle John and Aunt Tan. Music I
for the occasion was furnished by I
the Grafonola. The folding doors

"electric" lights the couples were in I
perfect harmony with the music. It I
was a crab dance. Next morning at |

we would try him so we escorted hi n I

Therefore he was shipped on the I

happened through pure neglect o > I
the part of the party since they were I

these are: I
