The farmers have been bringing j plenty of watermelon to the Conway I market for several weeks now. Some of them are as fine as ever grew in the county. G. II. Gillispie has as fine a crop of tobacco on his farm near town as can be found in the county. The crop is now being cured. He has fine land and always raises fine crops. Hon. James Norton, of Mullins, Editor of the Messenger, spent some time in Conway last week, and he attended the funeral of his brother, Dr. Evan Norton.
