4 a VOL XXVII II If 111 I Mrs. Alice Register Loses Proceeds of Tobacco Crop AT RABIL'S STORE Warrants Were Sworn out for J F Rabil and Another Syrian Boy, also Aleck Bruton,?At Last Accounts the Money had not Been Recovered, ? Preliminary on Thursday of This Week. Mr. Alice Register last week swore out a warrant before Magistrate Chestnut, charging grand larceny against J. F, Rabil, also another Syrian, working for Joe, and Aleck Bruton, also a clerk in the Rabil store. The substance of the charge wa9 that they had taken from her the sum of $81.00, and the facts out of which the charge grew seemed to bo that Mrs. Register, after selling a lot of tobacco at one of tho warehouses, wont into the store of J, F. Rabil and purchased a few small articles, handing J. F. Rabil, with whom she did the trading, a piece of silver money and ho went iato the rear of the store, or at least to the back end of a long counter, to get the change. She had the $S1 00 wrapped up - in the account sales in her satchel, and in closing the transaction with the silver mot ey, laid the other which was in bills on the counter. She left the store without thinking any more of it, until while in another store, she reinombored it, and upon going back she could not iind it. J. F. Rabil, \\ is not thought could possibly have taken it, as he was engaged at the t'me in getting the change. The other defendants deny they saw the money at all. There will be a preliminary hearing tc-day. Born on Tampico Farm. The following clipping is taken from the Atlanta Georgian of recent date: Mrs. Jesse P.
