The home of Mr W A Spivey, at 2 o'clock oil Wednesday afternoon, July 2(5,h, 1911, was the scene X of a very pretty home wedding when his daughter, Mattie Aggrienora. became the wife of Mr Troy H Stone, of Tampa, Florida. The parlor was beautifully and artistically decorated with potted p.ilms and ferns with vases of pure white roses and lively white hybiacus. As the sweet strains of Mendles% shon's Wedding March ix-as aoftly rendered by Miss Myrtie Spivey, the bridal party entered in the following order: From ihe roornto the right came Mr Cbas P Fioyd and Mr WillidMumes, while from the room to the left curn9 Mi?s Kudie Jenkins and Miss Nuliie Hux, dressed in white ling-rie and carrying white ^ roses. N xt came Miss Beatrice ' Hux, daintily gowned in white silk, carrying the t ing and a large white rose. Lovely in a gown of white satin, the bride entered on the arm of her sister who gave her away. I The groom entered with Mr Pate Altaian and met the bride under a beautiful horseshoe made of daisies and orange blo.sso.us, where they were united in the holy bonis of) wedlock by DGSpivey, of Cuii way. Miss Ola Spivev, sister of the f bride and maid of honor, was attired in white silk. At 2:45 o'clocic the bride and grocm left for Morion where they ^ took the train for Charleston. Toe ' bride wore a beautiful traveling su t of grev silk. Mr Stone thinks too much of the roses in his bride's cheeks to take her immediately to his Flori a home but will spend {till October 1st at summer resorts of North and South Carolina I sincerely hope that all their troubles will be little ones C H B. Miss Bettie Higganbotham has been spending the last week at Lofton, the fcuest of Mrs Rhuark. Miss Tela Rhuark spent a day last week with friends at Yuleo. Mr Christopher Iligginbotham, of this place, has moved to Callayfc han. On July 24th, a fish fry was given at Cedar Park, on the beautiful Clarks river, in honor of Miss Barn well and Miss Rhuark. Every one seemed to enjoy the day. The afternoon was spent in boating and fishing. Mr and Mrs J W Rodgers, of Folkston, Ga., and little daughter, Annie Fay, spent last week at Lofton, the guests of Mr and Mrs C A Rhuark.
