The object is a worthy one and should meet the hearty approval of all those engaged in the culture aud shipping of strawberries as a source of revenue. To remedy these evils and to equalize the distribution of the crop so that uniform prices can be gotten for the berry as well as truck the season through are among the reforms which will como beloro tin meeting for consideration. The Town Council, or the Iloarr of Health, are deserving the thank of the community in abating one nuisance at least. In the first article fraud was the decision and such strong e\idenco as leading agricultural papers and reports from experiment stations given as evidence. I appreciate Mr Dickson's reference to me in regard to character, but what has that to do with the merits or demerits of this fertilizer? 1 began this explanation in order to protect my advertisement from being branded "fraud," and I am in it to the finish. There have been practical tests made time and again with this home fertilizer and high grado commercial and those who use it arc ready to testify to the results. The chemicals used in preparing the home fertilizer by the Lapp's process are practically the same as those used in commercial fertilizer. In ni3f first article 1 mentioned Lipp's patent on this process, and I with further to state that M M hipps was a chemist and before submilting it to the patent office with request for patent this process was practically tested, and in his application for a patent gave his formula fully and in very clear language with vlie food plant value, etc., to each ingredient used in the comnosi lion. This thing did not spring at the house of never by some upstart, but a scientific discovery to enable farmers to prepare at home a fertilizer equal or better than high priced fertilizer sold at many times its worth. I wish to be courteous with my friend, but it has appeared in the columns of the Herald above his signature that this is a fraud, and it is, therefore, incumbent upon him to prove his assertion or take the responsibility of failing to do so.
