Dear Sir: Please allow rue a short ?pacu in your columns for a few words, as we two are lloiry boys who have met together to day and after consulting together decided to say o few words to the 'readers of the Horry Herald. 1 will say that it was my good fortune to eat dinner on July 12th, with PC Johnson, formerly of llorry county, who left there m 1866, and found he and family well- I,too, left Horry ir. 1892, and at one time \ie both lived in Bulloch county, Ga., within t\\o miles of each other. We j both now live in a healthy community and in a good farming section. I am engaged in the farming business myself and have line crops. P C Johnson is engaged in the tin pontine business and ivS a number of the firm of Lee & Johnson, besides he is interested in the melon and mill businesses. Mr Johnson and famile urn well and doiiur well. 11#? lias two married daughters, and two girls and two boys at home and three grandchildren. His eldest daughter at home is 17 years of age and weighs 175 pounds. 1 am a subscriber to the Herald and carried a copy to him. He whh overjoyed to get it and read it with a great deal of pleasure. Ho asked me to write to tlie Herald. His heart goes out to old Horry and was glad to read of the progress she is making. Hod bless old Uehoboth Salem, Cool Spiing and all the churches in Horry county. He otys he is in hopes of meeting them one more time on earth. I am a widower with live children all of whom are hale and hearty, i have twenty-three acres in cotton, ten in corn, cane, pease and potatoes. 1 hope to hear from some of the Horry bovs in the next issue. 1 am a son of John Johnson, formerly of Horry county, Dog Bluff township.
