He said no oue was in favor of the supper but two of the trustees and their relatives. Now this is unquestionably not so, for there were people there whose faces I had nover seen before and a good many who 1 am certain were not relatives to either of the trustees. He said I was like a lice. If there has been any dog in this matter it must have been Little Joe for he commenced the growling, but he got no bones and then he commenced to howl. He asked me if I could prove he drove his stock in anybody's turnip patch. He can get the desired information by calling on me, or those neighbors in the community from which he moved. Now, I want to tell the people that I have heard what gave Little Joe such a distaste for box suppers. He went to one thinking it would be a free supper but when he found out that it was to buy or get none he came off without any supper, and said if that was the way box suppers went on he had 4a '"-1 wcu iu ins lusiii one, tls said the biggest bunch belong to the devil I am glad he is not to be the judge for if he were he would have the kingdom all to himself, Tt seems he does not think any one is fit for the kingdom but Little Joe, if it is true that a fool's sins goes fast to his back while he is gazing at the faults of others. He said if I were led by the same man he was 1 would buy me God's word in some form. 1 am glad to say to him tbat I was born and raised with a Bible in the house, but it is not so much what a man reads as it is what he can understand, A great many people can learn more from observation than others can by reading, lie says some people profess to God and then you see them with the woolly boys and you cannot divide them. 1 have seen him with somo of our most popular preachers who have been to box suppers and so far as J could tell they were just as good as he was. He says the school had gone on for about two months before one of the trustees knew anything about it. There, Little Joe got otT the tract again. He must not know who the trustees are. He said if I was with the majority I guessed at it. Guess work is as good as any when it hits right. I will ask him if he has ever known the trustees of this.school to go around and see when the school was to start. As for the pe tition, you need not bother about that. Wo trustees wiil try to run the school since you have moved out of this community if you will keep your mouth shut or bark at some one who wants to hear your rackot. Now. he speaks of my reputation. 1 am right where I was born and raised and if you want to be informed as to my reputation to call on my neighbors. Now, Littlo Joe, 1 want to say to you in my final conclusion to think of these things this way: Who have you been criticising and are you a competent man to judge the public at large? Then remember that yon are commanded to judge not and, remember also, that if a man be so good as you professed to be, whe n his pigs gets into a widow woman's potato patch, he must not go ana call her out and tell her if she comes out he will give her what she needs because she drove them out Now if a man professes to be the righteous man, people will notice uli those things and learn to do more and say less.
