" The point that enough has already i been written on the subject of the 11 stock law is woll taken and we trust , that our correspondents will take ! the hint and write about something j else. The stock law is not now an , issue in TJorry and hence its dis- ] , cussion at this time is untimely and monotonous. When itbecomesa live one and the issues are squarely joined will be time enough for its discussion through the public prints. nn.? To the'Voters of Horry County: As the general election is over, confirming my election as a member of the Legislature of S. C., for the years HlOtl-'lO, 1 again wish to thank the voters for their support. In assuming the duties and responsibilities of this position, I wish all true and loyal citizens to make known unto m'e their wants or needs in the way of bettor laws. Lot me hear and study what would be good for Horry county. Sit down and writo me at once the laws we need made, if any, the laws we need repealed or amended. Now to be understood. 1 do not request these promising to do or trv lo make into law all that the people of Horry county may ask, but that I may take those suggestions of my constituency of Horry county and combine with my own judgment and have a fine basis to work from. By filing these together I can form deductions and best conclusions from the whole people and act accordingly. A united clTort from both people and representatives should secure the best possible results, and this is my earnest desire and ambition. Now, as a public bonefactor I desire to have an expression from any one desiring prosperity, good law and order. M M.Stanloy, Boris, S. C., R. F. D. 2. Hcply to l? M Kodxcrs. Mr Editor: Pluso allow ine space i n trnnw ? i wnwiiiio paper to answer Mr Rcdg< i-s. He say*- he was an orphan boy and had to wo! k very hard. I was ruiscd an orphan myself and had to work too. He says it is for the lack of sense that people want the no fence law, I would respectfully inform him that my impression is that there are orphan boys in Horry who have as much sense as he has and that questions of agricultural economy which clTect the interests of Uorrv county alone, sbould.be left to the people of this county for settlement without interference from those who gone elsewhere to assist in building up some othor county in some other State. Now, farmers, if we can't get a vote on the no fence law let us endeavor to persuade our Representatives and Senator to give it to us anyhow, as we need it and we are just as much prepared for the change as we will ever be.
