By reason of ill health, ex-Gov- I cruor Hey ward has withdrawn from I the race for United States Senator, j The presentment of the grand jury, aside from campaign thunder, is a document of words, words? I nothing but WORDS. Many candidates are in the woods yet waiting for a favorable oppor-| tunity to come out. The campaign I bids fair to be warm '^and perhaps sensational. At this distance from the scene of the coining battle of ballots it is impossible to pick out the winners, but. whoever tliev now uo it is certain that they will havcl won victory only after a hard fought I fight. Most of the hits rest centers I in the race for Senator, Sheriff and I Supervisor?the three big S S S? I while the Coroner's oflice goes beg-1 ging. The candidate for this ofiice I will doubtless be unanimously clec-l ted. Reports from correspondents from all over the county indicate that farmers are working this year as 1 they never worked before, and that is saying much as they have always 1 been a hard working people, Morel attention is being given to diversi-1 lied farming?especially to food crops for man and beast, More to-1 bacco is is being cultivated than has been for several years and the weed I is of a finer grade. The homes I of the people aro being made more cheerful and comfortable m?.i ? .?uiu uiivt (VI brilL'tivo which is a great incentive for thes boys and girls to remain on the farm and lighten the burdens incident to this life, of their parents bringing joy and happiness to them in their declining years as the shadows lengthen and the darkness gather thicker, in the knowledge that those upon whom they have spent such a wealth of affection in childhood's halcyon days are still within the shade of the old homestead. The stock, too, is coming in for its share of attention. Now and improved blood is being intro- < duced and it is safe to say that the 1 glory of the historic "Razor Back" ( is passing, and soon the places that . now know him will know him no ( more forever. The great possibili- , ties of Horry arc being surely, if ( slowly, developed and its futuro is , roseate with bright promises of glo- 1 rious achievement. So mo to. n n? R ? w %J\~ and the sooner the better. ? There is more Catarrh in this sec- t tion of the country than all other 0 diseases put together, until the last 1 few years was supposed to be in- 11 curable. For a great many years a doctors pronounced it a loeai dis- * easo and proscri bed local remedies, " and by constantly failing to cure 0 with local treatment, pronounced it incurable. Science has proven I catarrh to bo a constitutional dis- $ ease and therefore requires consti- ? tutional treatment. Hall's Catarrh 1 Cure, manufactured by F J Cheney h <& Co., Toledo, Ohio, is the only con- S stitutional cure on the market. It 2 is taken internally in doses from 10 K drops to a teaspoonful.
