The City had been laid olT into convenient wards so arranged as to meet the wishes of the voter in his ward. We cannot at this writing give the boundaries of the dillerent Wards, not having the dat i at hand ; just now , but as soon as we c an Milliciontly inform ourself we shall published them for the information* of our readers. J Wt;aro proud to say that the (>$i zens of Conway have made a wistand judicious choice of men to hold the reins of government for the next t wo years. In the first place the se lection for Mayor, Honor Jeremiah Smith, is too well known to need iiitroclulion to the people or Horry For the past twenty live or thirty years he has been prominently be fore the people of this his native county, and as everybody knows he is a man of uwcomproming integrity, always open to ad-1 vice concerning those things tending to the up building of his town, county and State; but having once made up his mind, being sure he is right, his decision is as unalterable as the laws of the Moades and Persians-. The council is made up of progressive young business men who have been sussessful in tlie management of thpir individual alTairs it naturally follows that they will % equally successful in the discharge of their public duties. On the whole Conway indeed has a g >od cau*c to congr.iiulate it-clf on hiving made such a wisi eho'ce ii the selection of its municipal olliccrs, and an r,?? hiin?n1111:i i ion is iMin i i un.T'u i"i v .. ^ -ili.it the seletiun was unanimous.
