Mr. Oliver is favorably impressed with this section and is on a trade for a farm hero. S H. Roberts, and assisted by Rev. 1). I). Anderson ami others. The people in the community we think generally have been benefitted and the best of order pre vailed throughout the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Walker Hughes spent some time in the Cedar Grove section recently. Munroe Lundy made a flying visit to Mt Herman section last week. Mrs. Mary Ann Cfartrett of the Pop.'ar section visited her sister Mrs Jeremiah Mishoelast week. Those who attended Salem on Sunday from a distance were Jesse Mish oe of Hurley and John Dorman ol Adrian, Mr. and Mrs. Mill King, Mr, and Mrs. Hartford Maker. We arc glad to see Fred Mux out again after being very sick for souk time. Dr. Norton passed through here several times last week visiting hit patients. We are told that some parties met or Sunday not far from here to divide some whiskey and they got into z dispute over it, and it looked like there would be trouble as a gun was brought out. Farmer. The Princeville public school is progressing well under the careful management of Mr. Stephen Hticks, a promising young man of Socastee. Prof. W. A. Prince is again in charge of the public school at Finklea . The Rev. J. H. Stanley, Superintendent of the Sunday School at Pleasant Home near Boris seemed well pleased on last Sunday at the large turnout. Let's please him again boys. We were glad to hear from our old friend J. I J. Prince, fie was reared here. Our school yard was his play ground until Draughon's Business College took him away and prepared him for the business world. Boys, idle not a moment. Prepare yourselves for belter usefulness in life, because the business world is calling for you daily. Many of the young folks here anticipate going to the Association at Honey Camp this week . Public school teachers, wake up and secure the much needed library, as well as to use your influence to secure a vote in favor of the four mui levy for your school.
