The new bank building will have a brick sidewalk in front. Mrs. J.M. Lewis of Gideon was in Conway last Saturday. The handsome cottage of A. T. Collins is about completed. D. W. Oliver of Socastec was in town one day lat week. The Horry Hussars are ordered to meet here on May Oth. S. It Gore of the Longs section was in town on last Tuesday. J. C. Price, a prosperous farmer of Galivants Ferry, was in town last Friday. Jercm<ah Mi shoe of Cool Springs was in town on last Saturday on business. Haigler, a progressive farmer from Bucks township, was in the city last 1* rid ay. There was a small excursion party down to Myrtle Beach last Friday afternoon. The executions against delinquent taxpsiycrs have sill been signed up and are ready for delivery to the sherilT. There was a hail storm last week which did considerable damage in some sections of the upper part of the county. A good house keeper puts away the blankets with Camphor Tar Halls, 10 cents per pound at Conway Drug Co. A. L. Proctor has moved his tent to lower sMain Street, and opened a gallery over the store of S. T. Sessions. K. W. Jones of Justice was in town the first of the week. Carlise all attended the Methodist f district conference at Clio last week. The Rev. G. W. Gatlin of the Waccarr.aw circuit, passed through town last Saturday on his way home from the district conference at Clio. Say, did you know that fellow Ward at the Conway Supply Co's., store is selling goods at cost or al most giving them away? That is what their competitors say, and you know what they say must be so. The contractor is now at work on the handsome ?front of the addition to the Kingston Hotel. Pressed brick are being used in the construction ai in the old building. Next Monday is legal salesday, and several tracts of land in the county, and the residence of the late VV. E. Hard wick, will be sold to the highest bidder at the enurt hr?nc*? door. Much complaint is being made about the short oat crops, owing to a small insect which has attacked the plants not only in this comity but in other counties and in other States. A large audience attended the concert given by the lyoeum last week, and every one was satisfied with the entertainment.
