Much complaint is being made
about the short oat crops, owing to
a small insect which has attacked
the plants not only in this comity
but in other counties and in other
States.
A large audience attended the concert
given by the lyoeum last week,
and every one was satisfied with
the entertainment. The music was
of the best, and the recitations by
Miss Boy 11 ton were especially pleas

to make an address here on
the occasion of the closing of the
Burroughs Graded School on May
15th. He has also promised to address
the teachers' association if requested.
