I Steamship Larger Than the Great Eastern. The now White Star steamship Oceanic, the largest vessel afloat, from Queenstown, arrived at NewYork last week and debarked her passengers. That there are live thousand theatres in America, and that one million and a half people attend them each week-day night, spending seventy millions of dollars a year on theatre going, are the surprising facts with which Mr. Franklin Fyles, the dramatic editor of the New York Sun, will open an important series in the next issue of The Ladies Home Journal. After singing ''We Shall Sleep, llat Not Forever," Dr. Norton, who has been Superintendent of thi' Sunday School for a number of years, reviewed the life of the dc c used, lie spoke of her constancy to duty as an ollicer in the Sunday School, her consistency as a member as the church, and dwelt pathetically on her last hours here, Kev. J. W. Klkins, said that he had only known her a few months, but felt that he could fully endorse what had been said. A few brief remarks were made also by Mr. E. W. No)ley as a tribute to the many noble qualities >f t lie dead. A solemn stillness pervaded the entire building during the exorcises. With some few exceptions, the members of the family were present.
