Ephrain Scott, one of the county convicts, tried to escape last Friday from the guard, but Mr. Jones was too sharp for him and the poor fellow is Buffering now with shot in his back for his folly. The county supervisors of the state are urged to attend the an nual to be held next Tuesday at Columbia. We are pleased to loam that Ephraim Scott, the convict who was shot last week in trying to escapo, is getting along nicely and porhaps soon be ready to finish his sentence.
