The objept of these CoiuhimitioQs is to wrest by force or arbitration from those .who ?.ith hold it that which they .consider of right to be theirs by virtue of services rendered, or, which guaranteed to them by the. Constitution of . tl)e United /States. This, on the surface, appears Jto be a simpble proposition, aud explanation, but the vagueness ot it> will not appeal to the aver age reader. What he or she will paturally inquiro is, "Who is Jthe organised laborer?" It is Jfche laborer with either head o; hand who enters a union of his peers, that is a society composed of those pursuing his or her path of life, for the purpose of advancing their individual mutual, material and tooral in jtere$t$. (Special License.) , Qe It ordained by the Mayor Aldermen of the city of Camden. 9. C-. and by the authority of the aame: Sec. 1. That thla special license or dinance adopted by the city council, on tl\e 20th day of April. 1191, for the present fiscal year, and passsd and or dained as a special ordinance to raise supplies for the fiscal year ending April 30th. 1909. That every person, firm or corpora tion. encased or Intending to engage in any trade, buslnses or profession hereinafter mentioned, within the limits of the city of Camden, shall Arst obtain a license from the clerk and treasurer, and all licenses herein n)cntioned shall be non-transferable and for the fiscal year, if not other wise specially provided. And all an nual licenses shall expire on April 20th, 1909, but may be revoked at any time by the mayor or city council; Sec. 2. All licenses for the year granted under this ordinance, shall continue In force until the 30th day of April next succeeding the date of Issue, and no license .except as pro vided for by limitation, per diem or month, shall be Issued for less time or rate than one year. The city clerk and treasurer shall prepare a proper form to be Issued In each case. Sec. 3. Applications for license of all kinds shall be made to the city clerk and treasurer and all fees for same shall be paid to him In advance; Sec. 4. No person, firm or corpora tion shall be engaged In. prosecute or carry on any business, occupation or profession, hereinafter mentioned, without first receiving from the clerk and treasurer of the city, a special license therefor. Any person or per sons, corporations or associations fall ing to secure such license shall on conviction be fined not less than ($5) five dollars nor more than ($100) one hundred dollars or Imprisonment not more than 30 days in the discretion of the recorder. Sec. 5. For a license to carry on any trade, business or profession herein after mentioned, the following sums shall be paid to the -city treasurer.
