Promptly at 10 o'clock the children of the graded sceool formed a Oi v line in front of the Citizens Bank, Pa i and from there they marched to the cemetery, where they decorated the S. graves of those who wore the Grey. :, P'or a cause they knew to be right. In that beautiful city of the dead lie s the remains of many who fought on the bloody battlefields of Virginia i_)( i. and Tennesee. After the garlands jj d were laid upon the graves the large so crowd assembled in the opera house l where the exercises proper were held s, CITY WELCOMED VETERANS. Mr. Smith is one of the brightest a young men Carolina has ever produced with pathos, history, elcqu^ j| ence. patriotism and every thing ihat f goes to make up a first class speech. ^ The address made a profound im5 pression and will long be remembero ed by those who were so fortunate' N as to hear it.
