the occasion. of

gan to gather and by 10 o'clock the

Promptly at 10 o'clock the children
of the graded sceool formed a Oi
v line in front of the Citizens Bank, Pa

cemetery, where they decorated the S.
graves of those who wore the Grey.

In that beautiful city of the dead lie
s the remains of many who fought on
the bloody battlefields of Virginia i_)(
i. and Tennesee. After the garlands jj
d were laid upon the graves the large so
crowd assembled in the opera house l
where the exercises proper were held

game of ball between Columbia and
Bales burg, with the prospects of
Batesburg coming out victorious,

will be long remembered by all those
