There is an excellent article upon this sub ject (written by Mr. Adlam) published in the National Intelligencer of last Wcdnes a'y. . He states the comparative nett pro mts of an acre cultivated In Vines, in differ ent pnrts ot Prance, and in thM oonntry. The advantage is greatly in favor of thm country, chiefly on account of the high du ties upon the importation of wine, which ope rate aa a groat bounty.
