We do not think that the fund* of the tax payers of the county ran be better spent than in proxtdinr for insti uction in making better homes,- and in saving soth* of the waste products of the farm. The expenditure of the ISOfi which paid a portion of the salary of Mis. Conno' th:* year has caused the savin* of of waste piodurts by the gill- of the county/ It U safe to say that not one-tenth of this amount would have been save! by the girls of the county had not there’t»e*n an agent in charge of the work in thi- county. Is this observing the Golden Rule? We were recently in thd express office here, and saw two packages. One of them was some printing for a w«ll known citizen of Walterboro Slid the other was some article of clothing f<v hi* wife, both pur chased from out of tow n concerns.
