A rather remarkable phenomenon occurred Friday at noon when a pei- fectly formed rainbow appeared in a large circle around the sun, and remained there for more than a half hour. It excited considerable comment and many persons rushed to the streets to see it. The oldest inhabitants said they had never seen such a thing before.
