Rainbow Around
• Sun at Noon.
A rather remarkable phenomenon
occurred Friday at noon when a pei-
fectly formed rainbow appeared in
a large circle around the sun, and
remained there for more than a
half hour. It excited considerable
comment and many persons rushed
to the streets to see it. The oldest
inhabitants said they had never seen
such a thing before. Comments
have also been made on the “ball of
fire” appearance of the si’n on Mon
day and Tuesday.
