AN ORDINANCE To require all dogs running at largo on Uie streets of the Town of Wnl. terboro, muzzled and to provide a penalty for the violation of same. |Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen of the Town of Walter boro now In session: That on and after the passage of this ordinance, that all dogs run ning at large within the limits of the Town of Walterbbro be muzzled during the months of June, July. August and September of each year. That any dog or dogs found on the streets of said town without a muz zle during the said months be cap tured and taken into custody and notice thereof, of 24 hours be given the owner, If kn^tn, provided, how ever, should the owner be not known and should not claim said dog or dogs within four days after having been impounded, the said dog or flogs shall' be killed. That if the owner thereof fails to pay said Chief Marshal the sum of 25e per day for feed foe each dog. together with a fine of $1.00, that the same shall be killed. Provided that in the event of the happening of either of the above contingencies the Mayor may exercise his discretion as to whether or not the said dog or flogs shall be killed or otherwise disposed of. \ % This ordinance shall take effect from July 1, l&H.
