• . ‘F' k ■ WEDDING AT LODGE Lodge, Dec. 26, Special:— A most beautiful marriage was eolemized Sunday at the home of the bride’s parents near here. The contracting parties were Miss Lucile Crosby and Mr. Laurie C. Tuten. The ceremony was performed by Mag. L.(i. Ulmer, at 3:80 o'clock. The horre of the bride was beautiful ly decorated for the occasion . The wedding march was skilfully rendered by Miss Minnie Crosby, sister of the bride. The attendants entered in the following order: Miss Jennie Cummin<:s with Mr. Joseph Me- Mill'in, Miss Amelia Keutz with Mr. ¥ rank Caldwell, Miss Julia McMillan with Mr. Clarence Caldwell, Mi-s Li/zie McMillan w’ith Mr. Walter Caldwell, Miss Julia lliere with Mr. F. M. Tuten, Miss Janie Crosby with Mr. .Millie lliers, after winch came tin* bride and groom . 1 he bride was beautifully dressed in a rich wliite gown, richly trimmed, with a sweeping veil. She carried a bouquet of wliite carnations. Many handsome and useful pret» nts weie received from friends wherever the popular young couple were known. The bride is the daughter of Mr . and and Mrs. J. W. Crosby and is much loved by a w ide cir cle of friends for her many charming characteristics. The groom is a son of Mr. Bearl Tuten of Hampton count}, who is now a properous young farmer of the Cross Swamp section . After the ceremony the happy young couple left for the home of the groom’s father where they remained a night, going thence to Savannah for a week. (Written for last week) A very enjoyable birtn-day party waa given at the home of Mr. A. B. Chassereau Saturday night, it being Mr, Chasaereau’s birth-day. A large crowd arriv ed about night-fall ond tried *0 give him a good time. Several songs were sung, and good music was furnished. All then went to the dining room where cake and wine were served in abund ance. Miss Mamie Stiickland return ed home Friday after an extend ed visit to her sister, Mrs. J. C. Carter of Fairfax. J. F. Curry of Yarnville pass ed through this sectioo last week. Miss Mamie and Willow' Chas sereau visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Beach of Evergreen Sunday. .
