A very large meeting was held, at which the third degree was conferred on one candidate, Prof L S Betty, after which the lodge adjourned to the Knight Hotel, where an elaborate, banquet was served. E. T. H. Shaffer, the retiring Worshipful Master of the lodge, presided. Several impromptu toasts were re sponded to by different members. Among those speaking may be mentioned Messrs M P Howell.
