court house at mH>n; the last meet
ing of the old Imard of county com-
misioners; and at 8 o’clock in the
evening the lyceum—Sidney Landon
at the court house.

very enjoyably celebrated St John’s
Day Friday evening. A very large
meeting was held, at which the
third degree was conferred on one
candidate, Prof L S Betty, after
which the lodge adjourned to the
Knight Hotel, where an elaborate,
banquet was served. E. T. H.
Shaffer, the retiring Worshipful
Master of the lodge, presided.
Several impromptu toasts were re
sponded to by different members.
