The county levy for these jears was as follows: 1804, mills; 1006,3-12'mills; 1000, 4 mills; Ilk7, 3 1-2 mills. So you see we are pMying|less now for ordinary county expenses than we were whrU'We were getting Ihe money from the dispensary. Do you say say, how's that? 1 auswer, 1 can’t explain, except oo the grouud. which alomst looks superstitious, or miraculous as you may call it, that money made out of liquor is the hardest mouey to keep and use to any real profit of any money iu the world. Oar observation has been that hardly an) fortune built on whiskey proves lasting.
