The League is to be congratulated upon its choice of President, Mrs John M Klein. Petition was sent to the town council, asking that the League be allowed the • privilege of using the space around the town council hall as a park. It was decided, also, to write a letter to the Superintendent of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, asking them to adopt some means of beautifying the grounds around the depot. The League is now in good work ing condition and has a little bank account to draw on, and will, douht- less, make itself felt in its efforts for tire improvement of the town.
