The books of registration con

County Treasurer’* old office for
the registration of parsons who

uary 1,1808. Under the provi
sion* of the constitution a re-en
rollment of the voters ia required
every ten years. Persons with
out registration certificates who
have previously been enrolled,
have to apply in person for new
certificates. Persons who have
never been registerd, or who
have lost their registration certi
ficates. must apply in person.
Anyone havipg an old cdrtificate
can obtain a renewal by sending
the old certificate by anyone, or
by mail, provided postage is en
closed for its return. Six hun

Civic League Meets
The Civic League met Monday
afternoon at the residence of Mrs.
W W Smoak, with a good atten
dance.
The League is to be congratulated
upon its choice of President, Mrs
John M Klein.
Petition was sent to the town
council, asking that the League be
allowed the • privilege of using the
space around the town council hall
as a park. It was decided, also, to
write a letter to the Superintendent
of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad,
asking them to adopt some means of
beautifying the grounds around the
depot.
The League is now in good work
ing condition and has a little bank
account to draw on, and will, douht-
less, make itself felt in its efforts
for tire improvement of the town.
