Since then we have learned much about thu : excellent institution, and are in clined to think that, all things considered, it offers peculiar and exceptional advantages;—in short, is one among the best colleges for young women in the South. A healthful situation is particularly important for a college; and in this respeck Gainesville can not be im proved on. It is located In the heart of the mountain country, on what is known as the “Piedmont escar pment;” the ccdebrated” Oconee White Sulphur Springs’Ties a shoit distance awqy; and just at hand is beautiful Lake Waner, made to order by “backing up” the waters of the Chattahoochee river for a distance of eight or ten miles. In such a charming region, the college girl has “playgrounds’Tn plenty to chose from; and they seem to be encouraged to avail themselves to the utmost of such advatges, judg ing from the freqent excursion par ties of Brenau students. The equipment of t he college it handsome and thoroughly modern and complete. Lying within fifty miles of'Atlanta, the students have the chance to attend lectures, concerts, etc., in that city, and do to frequently, although Brenau itself attracts to its own chapel the best available talent in performances of this kind. „ , Although the literary courses of this college are equal to those of any other college for women of which we know, the advantages in music and oratory are really very exceptional, indeed Brenau claima UK vaiu« ftt«u<t|>otnt n ex!*«;U<i bv f.nvthir gv < fTe eil to itiv rpiiu! tunic* beie. ?d»« cau j Ga.l out lor bcr*e t, by juit ftivuiif us a cal. la>lor*.
