Law to Protect Servants from Employers . Buenos Aires, Auk. 26.?The jusw tices of the peace of the Argentine ' capital have appealed to Congress to enact laws protecting servants from employers who neglect to pay them or who borrow from their cooks to pay for the elaborate dinners they given in order to maintain their social positions. The justices allege that many who live surrounded by servants in uniform and who give great dinners and whose names are promipent in the social register are compelled to resort to these methods in order to keep up their appearance as social leaders. The justices attribute this habit of the social climber of running in debt I to "a depressing show of folly and j pretense, an overpowering desire to | dress well and to prodigality and too j much inrflllfr?ni>n in I oen noutor is on the back. Hessian Soldier's Belt Buckle Found I * New York, Sept. 20.*?A Hessian soldier's belt buckle has been found by historical workers excavating the site of the Revolutionary war prison camp on the old Dyckman farm, near I 203rd street. ine ouckle, of bronze, is in a perfect state of preservation and officials of the Field Exploration committee of the New York Historical Society say it is one of the few Revolutionary relics of undoubted Hessian origin. The buckle has been identified as part of the Fuerst Frederick or Erb Prinz Regiment of Hesse, mercenaries brought over by the British to fight Washington's continentals. On the front of the buckle is engraved the monogram "F.? F.," surmounted by a crown. It may be summed up this way. If told to kill, he kills; if told to advance, he advances, and if told to retreat, he 'retreats.
