Some Conscience! Pays Back Taxes. Philadelphia. Dec. 18.?A troubled conscience today resulted in the sending of a typewritten anonymous note to the receiver of taxes with $2,250 in cash. "For back personal taxes improperly made out, due the city and state," the note read. This is the equivalent of taxes at four mills on an excess of $500,000 of personal nroperty. No conscience has ever before been so troubled as to pay that amount owed the citv without the prospectus of detection. | Waterman's Fountain Pen Tnk in all the different size bottles at Herald Book Store.
