There was an interesting quarter of an hour in the girls' room of the Portland (Ind.) high school the other morning. As the numerons fresh young beauties gathered in the room for their studies there came a peculiar "tinkle, tinkle" sound from the group. / In fact, there were numerous "tinkle, tinkles," but nothing to indicate where they came from. The principal knitted his brow into a frown. "Young ladies," he said, "You will please * ? " JTM*AwrlAw mfto AKOTTOH iorm a ime. meuiua naouu^w, beginning at the right of the line, yon will in turn each step forward five steps." Nothing occurred when the first, second and third girls stepped out, but with No. 4 there came a muffled "tinkle," and so it was with seven others of the girls. "You girls go straight home and take those things off," commanded the principal. Not once did he indicate what or where . they were, but he knew and so did everybody else. The girls, blushing, marched out to a tinkling chorus. New Advertisements. W. M. Brabham et al?Notice.
