The committee completed its work some time ego, but tnc report was not finished and given out until Sat urday. The 1920 general assembly appointed the committee to study the tax situation of South Carolina thor oughly and the report is very ex haustive, taking up every phase of the government. Senator J. H. Ma rion of Chester is chairman of the committee and he was assisted by the following members: Senator Chris tenson of Beaufort, Senator Laney of Chesterfield.
