A new .bank building has Just been completed by the Merchants’ and Planters’ bank and is a visible monu* ment to the late cashier, A. A. Rivers, who recently passed away. An application for a charter has been filed wkh the secretary of state for the reception of a cotton mill in Brunson to cost $300,000, Much of the stock of this enterprise has been subscribed by local business men and there are many inquiries for stock coming from other parts of the state and even out of the state. This is due perhaps to the fact that W. D. McNeil, well known as successful con structor of cotton mills, is in charge of this enterprise.
