Daatli of • < Hild The entire community was sad- 4wd Monday morning to learn of the uneapected death of little William " ayne Calhoun, the two-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Warren Calhoun, of this city. The little fellow was tak en suddenly ill while he and his par ents were on a visit to relatives in Wysacky. Although at first his con dition was not considered serious, he was taken to a hospital in ttishop- ville, where the skill of physicians and the tender nursing of loving hands struggled in vain to stay the summons of the Grim Reaper. The f child. con tinued to grow worse, until at one o’ clock Monday morning the Death An gel bore the spotless spirit to its eter nal home beyond the sky. The funeral services were conducted in Bishopville, the little body being brought to Barnwell Monday night Austria Zurich. Among those from Barnwell who attended the dance in Aiken last week were Miss Thelma Mazursky, Messrs. Mordecai Mazursky, Martin Best, Cliff Harrison and Dallis Creighton. Mr. A. K. Haxston, who wes sta tioned at Barnwell seme time ago as resident engineer for the Atlantic Coast Line R. R. Co., is now in the 7th Regiment of Engineers stationed at Atlanta. • < Miss Josie Davis, of Barnwell, and Miss Mildred Glover, of Vidalia, Ga., who is Miss Davis’ guest, attended the dance given by the Aiken-Winthrop Club at the i Olwell Hotel Tuesday night.—Aiken Standard.
