Neither the trustees nor thappunty Superintendents of Educa tion are allowed to approve the pay checks of any teacher in th« public schools unless the prescribed text book* have been introduced. K. On Saturday morning Mr. Lawrence Mrrlck died suddenly at his home near Mt. Arnou Church, aged about 78 years.
