Miss Shivar was graduated from Shoemaker. High School, Gate City, Va., and attended Athens Business College. She is employed by the Georgia Agricultural Extension Servlca Mr. Berryman's mother Is, the former Sarah Anice Martin of Greenwood. The groom-elect is a graduate of Athens High School. Dempster-Hopkins Wedding Of Interest • Announcement is being made of the marriage of lUss Nancy Daw son Dempster of Kershaw, former ly of Camden, to Frank Stewart Hopkins of Poughkeepsie, N. Y.. on February S in AtlantA Ga. The bride, a member of one of South Carolina’s most prominent families. - is the daughter of Mrs. Eliiabeth Benton Dempster of Camden and Kershaw and the late John M- Dempster. She is the granddaughter of the late Capt. and Mrs. Samuel J. Benton of Kershaw. Mrs. Hopkins graduated fi;om the Kershaw High School and at tended Coker college In Hartsville and the University of South Caro lina. While in Camden she‘was a member ^of the Junior Welfare I.«ague, the Spinsters'Club and the Playmaker’s Guild. Mr. Hopkins, the son of Charles A. Hopkins and the late Mrs. Hop kins, is a graduate of Cornell Uni versity, IthaCA N. Y. He is in busi ness dn Poughkeepsie in his civil engineering firm. Tliey will reside in Poughkeepsie after May 1. JayCees Sponsoring Tea For Women The Junior Chamber of Com merce is sponsoring a tea for the women of Camden on Thursday afternoon, March 4, in the Hunt room o^ Sarsfield hotel, from 4:30 until, 5:30 o’clock. This tea, given free by the Jay Cees, is of utmost importance and all the women in this cmnmunity should attend this, affair and avail themselves of the information re garding the city management form of government All mothers .wishing to attend and cannot do so on account of not having nurses for their chcll- dren kindly telephone 190 and a baby-sitter will be furnished them tree of charge by courtesy of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. . Moore entertained on last Friday afternoon at bridge, honoring her house guests, Mrs. George Peatick of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Ambrose Whalen of West- boro, Mass. Prizes were won at the two tables by Mrs. Peatick and Mrs. Hubert Wilson for the highest score Md by Mrs. N. R. Qoodaie, Jr., for the lowest score.
