After the assault on Young, Elmn amde his way to the county court bouse seeking Deputy Sheriff McLeod ’The officer was not there and the court house was locked. Later Mr. McLeod found Elmn sound asleep on the floor of the platform to front of the county bulldtog. 'He asked the deputy sheriff to lock him up. Mr. McLeod states that Elmn has been in jail several times before on chargee of assault and battery.
