an axe allegedly wielded by Elinn.
The affair tota place in a dwalltng

riral at the home of a girl friend,

whose narly married life was spent in
Camden» died at her residence on
Lea Strutt to Columbia last fMday

Margaret Stuart Hunter of Winchest'
er, Va., was a member of St. JcOin’s
Bpiscopal church to Columbia; from
whence funeral rites were conducted
last Sunday afternoon at 8:80. Burial
too place to Quaker cemetery here.

Mentity was not completely estab
lished. It la said that he came here
a few days ago tooto some point in

the hospital Monday that his condi
tion was extremely critical and he
was not expected to lire.
After the assault on Young, Elmn
amde his way to the county court
bouse seeking Deputy Sheriff McLeod
’The officer was not there and the
court house was locked. Later Mr.
McLeod found Elmn sound asleep on
the floor of the platform to front of
the county bulldtog. 'He asked the
deputy sheriff to lock him up.
Mr. McLeod states that Elmn has
been in jail several times before on
chargee of assault and battery.
The University of San Marcos to
Lima, Peru, has been in existence for
