DeLoaoh.Sheom, fired a biasing 80 on the back nine of the tough Donald Roes built course. The ace was made with a No. 7 lron''on the par 8, ISS-yard eleventh. This shot put Sheorn back In the run ning in the match as he made the first nine in 48. This was bis first round of golf after a several weeks’ lay-dK. Sheom was playing with Mortie Muller, John VUliplgue and Bill Goodale. This is the first post-war ace shot made at the Kirkwood coarse. In 1941 Captain Roy Wright, now Colonel Wright, scored an ace on the No. 11 hole. He was playing at that time with Joe McKaln and Meesrs. Cornell and Brown, the latter two being with the Southern Aviation school, Wright at the time waa Post Commander. On Sunday DeLoach will be paired in an exhibition match with Stanley Duda against Johnny and Bob Spence of Columbia.
