C., Navy Tard with its selec tion to bnlld two super-destroyers, ex tending the yard’s construction pro gram many months beyond the com pletion of two destroyer tenders awarded it last fall. Work on the first of the destroyer-tenders Is now underway. ’The super-destroyers, sometimes called “pocket orabers’’ are estimat ed to cost between five and six mil lion dollars each.
