Bill Is the youngest son of Mr. apd Mrs. Alexander Garden Clarkson of ^mden. He was graduated from Camden high school and attended Georgia Tech for two years before going into service. He has recently returned from a year’s duty overseas and wears the Distinguished Flying Cross. Hia mother is the former Margaret Johnson of Camden. The ceremony will take place Satur- day evening at the Presbyterian church in Darlington. HOLDS REGULAR MEETING The regular meeting of Hobklrk Hill Chapter DJk.R. was held at'the home of Mrs. Wall on Thursday af ternoon, February the 22nd. A most fitting program commemo rating the birthday of George Wash ington was carried out. Quite a lovely picture, copied from a painting of the first president of United States, done by Trumbull, was oonbpicttously displayed. Mrs. von- Trescliow gave'some most interesting extracts taken from Historical Cam den, relating to George Washington's visit to Camden. Splendid reports were given by of ficers, and a number of new members were reported. Several visitors were also'preflent. Mrs. Grace Jordan, of Bishopville, and Mrs. Pommler, of New Jersey, a guest of Mrs. Geo. Cook’s, gave pleas ing remarks concerning their home chapters.
