^mden. He was graduated from
Camden high school and attended
Georgia Tech for two years before
going into service. He has recently
returned from a year’s duty overseas
and wears the Distinguished Flying
Cross. Hia mother is the former
Margaret Johnson of Camden.
The ceremony will take place Satur-
day evening at the Presbyterian
church in Darlington. Afterwards a
reception for the two families will be
given at the Ervin plantation homoi,
“Woodstock,” Darlington.

Dies Surfdeiily
H. C. Hardy, 73, died suddenly at
about 4:30 Wednesday afternoon of
last week.
F^ineral services were conducted
from the Lyttleton Street Methodist
church at If o’clock FYlday morning
by the Rev. Henry Collins. After
the services the body was sent to
Savannah, Ga., (or burial.
Mr. Hardy is survived by three
sons, H. C. and R. A. Hardy of Dan
ville, Va., and L. C. Hardy of Wlnns-
boro.
