Col. and Mrs. Clarke Williams, the Cedars and the Pines, left on Thursday for New York after spending the season at their plantation near Camden. DeTrevllle left Friday for Clarksdale, Miss., to visit with their son, Aviation Cadet James S. Bundrick. who is stationed at Fletcher Field. Returning via Decatur, Ala., they will visit with their other son, Julian DeTrevillo, who is with the Southern Aviation school. | Mrs. Walter Abbott Goodale, Laurens street, returned this week from Keesler Field, Miss., where she spent sometime with her husband, who Is in training there. Billy Mullen, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mullen, Mulhall, is home for a two weeks' visit from Virginia Military Academy, Lexington, Va. He is in the enlisted reserves and waiting orders to report. Another son, Freddie Mullen, has been transferred from Biloxi, Miss., to Syracuse University, Syracuse, N. Y., for air corp preflight training. ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED Mr. and Mrs. Frank Leslie Jordan of Fair street, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter. Sosalie, to Victor Marturano, lieutenant in the United States Army air corps, of Montclair, N. J., and stationed at Ephrata, Washington. Miss Jordan attended the Baron DeKalb High school and is at present employed with the traffic department of the Southern Bell Telephone Co. Lt. Marturano is a graduate of the Montclair High school and before entering the army was employed at the Wright Aeronautical corps. The wedding will take place in the near future. MRS. CADETS ENTERTAINED SATURDAY AFTERNOON The aviation cadets at the 64 AAFFTD, Southern Aviation school, were entertained on Saturday afternoon and evening with a swimming party and weiner roast at the Whitaker cabin on Hermitage Lake. This party, sponsored by tHe Grace Episcopal church, was chaperoned by the hostesses Mrs. Jack Whitaker, Jr., Mrs. L. H. Rockafellow and Miss Lillian Yates. In the background was the United Status flag and the church flag. Prior to the ceremony Mrs. James Gaudy rendered a program of nuptial music. Tho wedding march from "Lohengrin" by Wagner, was used for processional and Mendelssohn's march from "Midsummer Night's Dream" for the recessional. The couple entered the church together. The bride, a beautiful blond, was lovuly in a wedding gown of while crepe and net, made with u high neckline. "Tho long tight sleeves came out in points on the wrist, the waistline was fitted and the skirt extended into a train. The hip length veil of Illusion fell fronj a cluster of flowers worn halo fashion. She cartied a bouquet of bridal rosea, white snapdragons and carnations. The double ring ceremony was used. The bride's table was covered with a white embrolded cloth and centered by an antique crystal bowl of Shasta daisies. A wedding oake, complete with miniature bride and groom, was cut by the couple. Bowles of white flowers and crystal candlelabras with white candles were used In the dining room. Assisting hosts were Mr. and Mrs. John T. Nettles and Mrs. Wm. D. Nettles.
