The atudy will go forward under tho guUlanc? of tho hospital stafT and trained ins true torn from other agencies In Philadelphia who will give lectures, and conduct aomlnarH and discussions. The course of training Is designed to teach a "better understanding of people, their problems and Infirmities, how persons grow, what happens when development is thwarted and, processes by which Ideals can shapo personality'." The assignment has been given to Mr. Herbert by the Council for Clinical Training with headquarters In New York City. The pulpit- of Lyttletqn Street church will be filled by visiting mlnathat during the training period two absence. Still another part of this experiment Is to he found In the fact that dunrlng the training period two young student-ministers will supervise the work of the- local church here. These men are: */,. V Mason, who Is serving as supply pastor of West Kershaw circuit (l-ugofT, Hhenezer and Smyrna) and Mr Doggett, who Is a student of Kmory 1'niverslty and who has been assigned to assist Mr. Mason in the Hummer work of West Kershaw circuit as a part of the extension program qf Bmory university. Mr Herbert states that lie will send occasional news letters through this paper to his congregation and friends, concerning the progress of the experiment at Pennsylvania General Hospital. Watts, county superintendent of education, as guest speaker. The following program was carried out: Welcome to Parents, Troy. West; Objectives of J. H. A., Charlotto McCasklll; J. H. A. Creed, Sarah Catherine Watklns; Report of F. F. A. chapter, Cleatus Threatt; J. H. A. Song, by J. H. A. girls; Poem, "The Boy That Likes the Country Best, Tommy Horton. The Superintendent and chapter Advisor, Ford B. Stanton, spoke briefly stressing the Importance of cooperation between parents and pupils and parents and school. He emphasized the fact that the school should serve as the center of all community I activities. Mrs. Kathleen B. Watts* County Superintendent of Education, was present and made a few very interesting comments on tho part the school should take in training for citizenship.
