Mrs. Boiling, of Virginia, was elected president general. Mrs. J. Sumter Rhatne, chairman general convention, read a; message from a U. D. The hostess was assisted by her daughter, Miss Louise Ancrum. Named as Vice-President At a meeting of the Carlisle Literary Society this week Frank M. Richbourg, of Camden, was elected to serve as vice-president for the second term of the school year. Mr. Richbourg is a senior at Wofford college. He has taken an active part in extracurricula activities since he has been on the campus and has consistently appeared on the Dean's honor list. Entertained at Bridge At the bridge party which Mrs. Donald Morrison gave Wednesday afternoon, Mrs. Jack Whltaker, Jr., Mrs. John Villepigue and Mrs. James Porter played with the regular players of the hostess' club. The house was decorated with greens and flowers and after the game a tea course was served. The afternoon's high seores were made by Mrs. Lambert DePass and I Mrs. Jack Whitaker.
